The AI4STEM Conference 2024

The IA4STEAM (Artificial Intelligence for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Agriculture, and Mathematics) annual conference was launched in 2024by Digital Education Consulting (DEC) in partnership with the Ministry of Education of Senegal and the Southern University System (SUS)—the only Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) system in the United States. Created to support the digital transformation of Francophone Africa, the conference has quickly become a strategic platform for scientific exchange, training, and showcasing applications of AI in critical areas of sustainable development. The inaugural edition focused on science and technology; Download the conference Flyer and Program. See the Youtube Marketing Video.

From AI4STEM to AI4STEAM, Toward ADDIE 2026: Building Africa’s AI Future

The annual international conference organized by Digital Education Consulting (DEC) and its strategic partners was first launched in 2024 under the name AI4STEM, with a vision to explore the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and workforce systems in Africa.
In 2025, the event evolved into AI4STEAM, reflecting a broader and more inclusive scope. The added "A" symbolizes the integration of Arts, Agriculture, and Applied sciences—particularly in areas such as cybersecurity and renewable energy—to support Africa’s development priorities, including food self-sufficiency, green transitions, and creative economies. This transition aligns with Senegal’s Horizon 2050 strategy for digital transformation and is co-organized by DEC in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Université du Sine Saloum El Hadj Ibrahima Niass (USSEIN), and a growing network of national and international collaborators
Looking ahead to 2026, DEC will host a new virtual event: the ADDIE Conference (African Digital Development and Innovation in Education). Envisioned as a continental AI and digital transformation hub, ADDIE will institutionalize the momentum built by AI4STEM and AI4STEAM, offering an annual virtual space for collaboration among policymakers, educators, technologists, and entrepreneurs across Africa and the diaspora. Each phase—AI4STEM (2024), AI4STEAM (2025), and ADDIE (2026)—marks a deliberate progression in DEC’s mission: to support Africa’s leadership in the global AI landscape through inclusive, bilingual (French–English), interdisciplinary, and accessible conferences that amplify African innovation, digital equity, and educational excellence.Get the Conference Flyer
